The show at New York’s Minskoff Theatre is about to begin, and it’s time for the BROADWAY OR BUST contestants to take the stage, whether they’re ready or not. Watch at the six finalists are selected, and the winners are crowned. In the words of director Van Kaplan, “This week is going to shape their whole lives, whether they go into the theater or not.”

We pick up where we left off, launching headlong into the fire of the rehearsals, coaching and coaxing sessions. Fighting fatigue, the contestants quickly see what a learn-by-immersion experience is all about — and get an eye-opening look at what life is like on Broadway.

From a nationwide casting call of over 50,000 high school students, just 60 high school musical theater performers earn the right to come to New York to participate in the National High School Musical Theater Awards competition. Follow the 60 young performers as they’re coached by Broadway talent and prepare solos for competition.
