Imogen Cooper at Spivey Hall

Over 50 Cornerstone Society members and guest were treated to a marvelous concert at Spivey Hall by renowned British pianist Imogen Cooper. Ms. Cooper was born in London studied in Paris and Vienna and is recognized worldwide as a pianist of virtuosity and poetic poise, establishing a reputation as one of the finest interpreters of the classical repertoire. Ms. Cooper delighted the audience performing pieces from Haydn, Beethoven, Brahms and Schumann.
Cornerstone members and guest joined the Friends of Spivey for a private wine and dessert reception with Ms. Cooper. As members enjoyed wine and desserts, Sam Dixon, Spivey Hall Director welcomed Cornerstone members and Friends of Spivey members to the reception. Lois Reitzes, host of Second Cup Concerts spoke briefly on behalf of WABE and recognized the superb performance of Ms. Cooper. Ms. Cooper made a few remarks of appreciation to the audience for her concert and for the reception. Ms. Cooper mingled and talked with guest as she enjoyed a well deserved glass of wine and tasty deserts.
