WABE-Trees Atlanta Partnership Spring 2010
Thank you to everyone who made our Earth Day fundraiser a record breaking success. 2753 trees will be planted in the Beltline Arborietum because of you!
For everyone who made a pledge on Earthday April 22nd, 2010 will have a tree planted in their honor by Trees Atlanta.
Trees Atlanta is a group that has been planting and conserving trees in Atlanta for the past 25 years.
Since 1985, Trees Atlanta has planted and distributed more than 75,000 trees.
Since 1975, metro Atlanta has lost 65% of its tree cover. Trees Atlanta is planting trees where they are needed most.
Each tree is a year old seedling.
These will be native trees, hand selected by Trees Atlanta for their ability to thrive in our area.
They’ll be planted along the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum, which, when finished will be the longest linear arboretum in the country.
The trees will be planted by Trees Atlanta volunteers this coming March, which is tree planting season here in Georgia.
