Refuge Coffee Company
Refuge Coffee Company serves up more than just great espresso. For some, it's a new start.
The red trucks parked outside might look like they're getting a tune-up at this former garage in Clarkston, but the baristas inside are actually grinding out some of the best espresso drinks in town. Coffee is only part of the story at Refuge Coffee Company, though. Here in this suburb of Atlanta, where half of the residents are foreign born, the nonprofit offers its refugee neighbors a living wage, job training and mentorship, help with adjusting to life in the U.S., and, of course, killer coffee skills.
