This September, Public Broadcasting Atlanta is proud to present an exclusive, local PBA30 TV series, The Wonders of Japan.

This exploration of The Land of the Rising Sun debuts on PBA30 at 9PM, Tuesday, September 13, with new episodes that will be broadcast on five consecutive Tuesdays at 9 pm through October 11, 2011.

The Wonders of Japan became possible when PBA30 TV obtained over five hours of exclusive footage from the Japanese Consulate located in Atlanta, Georgia. These extraordinary images, captured on location throughout Japan, reflect a unique mix of culture, history and natural beauty that abound in this island nation.

For the host of "The Wonders of Japan" PBA30 selected Sachi Koto, a JapaneseAmerican and Atlanta native who has received multiple awards for her reporting.Among her many professional achievements, Koto was the first Japanese American anchor on CNN; she also worked as an anchor for Tokyo's JCTV (Japan CableTelevision) and Nippon Hoso Kyoku (NHK) Radio in Tokyo.
