Square dancing anyone?
Metro Atlantans from all walks of life enjoy square dancing with the Hotlanta Squares Square Dancing Club and they all have different reasons for coming: “It’s something a couple can do forever. By dancing with strangers, you learn how to shake hands, become more social, and more confident. It’s the best exercise for the brain and the body. You get a sense of accomplishment by learning and remembering all of the calls and implementing them quickly. You get to meet new friends and have lots of fun.”
The Hotlanta Squares Square Dancing Club was established for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered (GLBT) community and their friends; however, members of the heterosexual community are welcome to participate and do.
The Hotlanta Squares dance weekly, offering basic, intermediate and advance square dance classes, “Club Night” and special dances. For information on the activities sponsored by Hotlanta Squares give them a “holler” or visit their web site at www.iagsdc.org/hotlanta.
