For Pet’s Sake
There are plenty of veterinarians in Atlanta where you can take your dog or cat. What if you have a less traditional pet like a rabbit, bird, or snake? For Pet’s Sake in Decatur is an exotic animal hospital that specializes in those non-traditional animals. Most of their appointments are birds and rabbits, but they also see everything from snakes to turtles to ferrets and much more.
Aside from regular check-ups, For Pet’s Sake also acts as a crisis care hospital. They perform hundreds of surgeries a year, most of them on rabbits. According to owner Dr. Jason Hutcheson, spaying or neutering your rabbit can prevent many life threatening health problems and extend a rabbit’s life.
They also care for sick or injured wildlife. Dr. Hutcheson enjoys working with the unique variety of animals they see and says “You never know what’s going to walk in the door.”
