In This is Atlanta, PBA30 expands its Telly Award-winning series of mini-documentaries into a full-fledged monthly magazine show. Alicia Steele hosts this fascinating look at the people who make Atlanta an exciting place to live. We’ll explore society, history, and creativity— sometimes all at once! This is Atlanta visits one-of-a-kind locations in the metro area, dives in to some unusual hobbies, and brings you performances by some of the city’s most compelling artists.

Fresh from four Telly Award wins in March, This is Atlanta returns with fascinating new stories from the community. What happens when a nationally-renowned teacher brings his “dream school” to Atlanta? Find out when we visit the Ron Clark Academy. We’ll also kick off a new season with the Atlanta Xplosion, an all-female professional football team. The athletes are much smaller, but the stakes are just as high; it’s the oddly compelling sport of Pigeon Racing. Then, for Earth Day, we’ll check in with both Trees Atlanta and the Sopo Bicycle Co-op for tips on a greener city.
