A conversation between chosen family. Hasan Irier immigrated to the U.S. from Turkey in the 1990s, and after about a decade here, he signed up to be a “big brother” through the organization Big Brothers Big Sisters. His “Little Brother” for the last six years has been 12-year-old Jorge Cruz-Calderon. Neither had a brother before they met. Hasan started the conversation.
