When Chad Curtiss met his future wife, Laina, two years ago in Charleston, he was morbidly obese. He’d never felt motivated to lose all that weight before, but things started change, and he decided to spend six months in an intensive weight-loss program. Laina Curtiss started the conversation—which took place at the Dekalb County Courthouse.
