19-year-old college student Déja Moss has childhood memories that involve tagging along with her mother to her college classes. But then, it became too hard for Donna Roberts to work full-time and be a single mom. So, she quit school. As Déja and her sister grew older, Donna made a new commitment to start college again, and brought her daughter to StoryCorps to talk about that commitment. Déja started the conversation.
