Juel Pate Borders-Benson
Reverend-Doctor Juel Pate Borders-Benson is the daughter of the late Reverend Williams Holmes Borders. The elder Borders pastored the historic Wheat Street Baptist Church for more than 50 years, and was a strong voice for integration. But as Juel told her niece Julie, he wasn’t so thrilled that she, too, felt the calling for ministry.
