Katie Terrell & Gartine Callaway Davis
Gartine Callaway Davis grew up the daughter of a farmer-turned-Airforce bombardier (one of the men who actually dropped bombs during World War Two.) The couple met as students at University of Georgia in the early 1940s. At StoryCorps, Gartine told her own daughter Katie Terrell about her parents’ first days together at UGA.

Lee Rushing, of Flowery Branch, was known as Lisa Rushing growing up, but early on, he realized that his physical body didn’t match who he knew himself to be on the inside. He told his story to his partner, Allison Rushing.
