Dexter Hardy & Nancy Perez
Just a few weeks ago, Nancy Perez and her husband Dexter Hardy came to StoryCorps to talk about their oldest child, Max, on his 7th birthday. Max has autism, and the developmental disorder means he struggles to connect with others. StoryCorps, Nancy and Dexter remembered how they figured out Max was autistic.

Lee Rushing, of Flowery Branch, was known as Lisa Rushing growing up, but early on, he realized that his physical body didn’t match who he knew himself to be on the inside. He told his story to his partner, Allison Rushing.
