A conversation between 23-year-old Susannah Bales and Emily Nelson Guzman. Emily’s husband Pedro came to the US, as a child, with his mother seeking asylum, but a deportation order was made for him after his mother was denied permanent residency. Susannah prompted Emily to tell the story.
