Two coworkers who fight problems in the prison system talk to each other. Melanie Velez is a staff attorney at the nonprofit Southern Center for Human Rights and has spent years working to stop prison overcrowding and abuses. Social worker Vivianne Guevara had some questions about Melanie’s time at the Southern Center.
