Evan Richards of Atlanta turns 8-months-old this Saturday. While he’s not speaking yet, his parents, Mark and Sarah Richards, are talking a lot these days about their own childhoods. At StoryCorps Atlanta, Sarah started out by asking her husband to talk about his own upbringing.

Lee Rushing, of Flowery Branch, was known as Lisa Rushing growing up, but early on, he realized that his physical body didn’t match who he knew himself to be on the inside. He told his story to his partner, Allison Rushing.
