A story from the Vietnam War that doesn’t come from a former soldier. Theresa Nguyen was a child in Saigon when the communists took over in the 1970s. That experience of war has shaped Theresa’s life ever since including her parenting of children Mathew and Stephanie. Stephanie who’s now 24 had some questions for her mom at StoryCorps.
