You Are Here: Video and Star Gazing
(June 20th at 8:30 pm) and (July 26th at 8:30 pm)
The You Are Here project engages the local community in the tracing of their own personal histories, representing geographic origins through satellite technology, and in creating animation and video documentaries composed of neighbor-to-neighbor interviews. The artist and neighborhood collaborators provide park-goers with a cinematic installation full of opportunities to incorporate technology and science into the experience of creating community space. In-depth community participation within the parks space as well as the local community has created innovative forms of engagement in the production to the final work. For more information click here.
