The Confessions
11:00pm
Why would four innocent men confess to a brutal crime that they didn’t commit? Frontline investigates the conviction of four Navy sailors for the rape and murder of a Virginia woman in 1997 in which there was no real evidence linking them to the crime. The sailors, now out of prison, recall the high-pressure police investigation techniques that led them to confess. Also examined are disturbing questions about the police and prosecution actions that disregarded DNA evidence that pointed to a lone assailant who would later confess.
