Synchronicity Theatre’s world premier production of Exit, Pursued by a Bear has been puzzlingly described as “Part I Love Lucy, part Jacobean revenge tragedy, and part feminist power ballad.” That description got WABE’s Myke Johns curious enough to ask the theater’s Artistic Director Rachel May, what exactly the show is about.

Yesterday morning, students at over 75 elementary and middle schools around the state walked to school. And it wasn’t just because of the nice weather. Yesterday was Walk To School Day. WABE’s Myke Johns reports.

The Life and Legacy of Robert W. Woodruff
A new exhibit in Emory University Library’s Schatten Gallery hopes to bring more perspective to a name. Most Atlanta residents have heard of Robert Woodruff, but these days, not everyone knows exactly who he was. WABE’s David Barasoain has this look at the exhibit on this businessman, philanthropist and very private person.

Nancy Perez and her husband Dexter Hardy came to StoryCorps to talk about their oldest child, Max, on his seventh birthday. Max has autism, and the developmental disorder means he struggles to connect with others. StoryCorps, Nancy and Dexter remembered how they figured out that Max was autistic.

We’re all familiar with dragons, unicorns and other beings that are the stuff of legend, and Fernbank Museum’s latest offering Mythic Creatures focuses on just that. We paid a visit to the museum and spoke to curator Bobbi Homan as well as some patrons touring the exhibit for the first time.
