- May 4, 2008Carrier
This 10-part series was filmed aboard the USS Nimitz and is a documentation of what life is like in the high-stakes world of a nuclear aircraft carrier. The timeline is a six-month period in which the Nimitz was on a deployment to the Persian Gulf. Cameras were given unprecedented access to the ship, and the result is a revealing and intimate look at the navy and of this “floating city” of 5,000 people and 60 military aircraft. A core group of characters, from the Admiral to fighter pilots to deckhands, are followed to see how their different personalities come together to run this gigantic ship.
