Our Holocaust Vacation
Thursday, Sept. 12, 7-8 p.m.
This is a documentary that follows the travels of a holocaust survivor and her family as they go back to Central Europe to revisit her childhood haunts, see the locations of her wartime travails, and hear about the acts of love that kept her alive.
They locate where her family was murdered, and then follow her precise wartime route from Auschwitz to camps in Germany and Austria. The various personalities of the family members help make this film more than just a sad remembrance, and it emphasizes that kindness is the counter force to atrocity.
