“A Walk to Beautiful”
6:00pm
This program follows the stories of five Ethiopian women who have been afflicted by obstetric fistula, a condition in which a hole forms between the vagina and bladder during labor, and results in nerve damage, and often an inability to have more children. These women were rejected by their husbands and ostracized by their communities, and finally find health and solace upon visiting a hospital that specializes in obstetric fistula.
