The focus of this film is storm-chasing as Nova cameras captured hair-raising footage of highly destructive twisters in action during one of the worst tornado seasons on record across the Midwest. Also examined are the efforts of two scientists that have developed radically different approaches to forecasting twisters, explained through the magic of 3-D graphics.
