Public Broadcasting Atlanta received a My Source Community Impact Award for Education from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) for its efforts with Atlanta Public School’s Homework Hotline. The My Source Community Impact Awards for Education were created by CPB to give recognition to public broadcasting stations for their commitment to providing educational services to learners of all ages and races from preschoolers to adults.

The Homework Hotline is available to APS students with questions about homework. Homework Hotline teachers give one-on-one assistance and easy-to-understand explanations by phone. These teachers have access to current textbooks and school curricula when helping students understand and solve homework problems.

My Homework Hotline is available Monday — Thursday, excluding holidays and semester breaks. Grades K-5 are encouraged to call from 3:00pm to.5:00pm, and grades 6-12 are encouraged to call from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. The telephone number is 678-553-3029.
