ATL PBA is proud to celebrate 60 years of serving the Atlanta community.

In 1958, the award-winning television station known as WETV at the time joined WABE, a radio station that was used for educational broadcasts. Now, WABE 90.1 is an NPR member station that also covers Atlanta’s news. The two entities have been working together ever since, promoting conversations around the city’s arts and culture scene.

In 2014, the station won Emmys for its show “This Is Atlanta” and its special, “Cosplay! Crafting a Secret Identity.”
ATL PBA has been committed to its community through locally-curated shows like, “Secret Atlanta,” “This is Atlanta” and “Independent Lens.” Viewers can also watch other PBS broadcasts on the local station.

ATL PBA’s broadcasts are made possible through the donations of its viewers … including you! Thank you for your support! Do you have a special memory with ATL PBA? Share your stories below.
