Public Broadcasting Atlanta Billboard & Print Marketing Campaign
What is Public Broadcasting Atlanta doing to spread the word about the services of WABE 90.1FM, PBA30 TV and www.AtlantaPlanIt.com?
This fall, Public Broadcasting Atlanta (PBA) is launching a marketing campaign which will include billboards and print ads to emphasize many of the things PBA is doing to serve our community. We will publicize how listeners, viewers and community members are benefitted by the broadcast and online services we provide. The goal is to invite more people to engage with our services, and ultimately, support us. PBA intends to increase awareness throughout the Atlanta community, including an important audience of corporations and foundations that are, or can be, sources of our support.
How is Public Broadcasting Atlanta funding this effort?
In 2010, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting awarded PBA a grant to fund this marketing campaign. This wonderful opportunity is allowing PBA to promote WABE 90.1 FM, PBA30 TV and www.AtlantaPlanIt.Com without using any money from our membership fund drives or donations.
Where can you find this campaign?
PBA’s media campaign will include billboards strategically located throughout the metro Atlanta area. Our Billboard campaign includes more than 50 dynamic creative messages scheduled to run on Clear Channel Outdoor digital and vinyl billboard locations throughout Metro Atlanta for four weeks beginning on September 13, 2010.
We will reinforce the billboard messaging with print advertising in the Atlanta Business Chronicle. In the September 10th issue of the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Public Broadcasting Atlanta is listed in the 2010-2011 Giving Guide. This special edition is published annually each September and is intended to give business executives the opportunity to learn about the mission and financial needs of 501C3 organizations like us who are seeking support. The Atlanta Business Chronicle’s annual Giving Guide reaches over 210,000 prospective donors.
The listing provides key content including PBA’s mission, history, community impact, giving opportunities, fundraising events, board of directors, and recognition of major donors. The listing will be accompanied by a creative piece with the theme which will be repeated in the billboard advertising. Through this campaign, PBA expects to build greater community awareness and sampling of our news, classical music, cultural information and programming available from WABE 90.1FM, PBA30 TV and AtlantaPlanIt.
