Lens on Atlanta
Lens on Atlanta is a new social community that is being developed to promote the arts, education, and civic engagement within metro Atlanta.
Responsibilities: Assist with and monitor user-generated content including text, photos and video insure that it meets and maintains community standards. Write and maintain a Lens on Atlanta blog. Engage in social networking sites to build conversations around Lens on Atlanta. Provide administrative support to Lens on Atlanta staff as needed. Candidates must be available to work 12-15 hours a week between August and December 2009. This is a paid internship.
The ideal candidates will have a strong interest and knowledge of social networking; have strong written and verbal communication skills, and be motivated self-starters. Familiarity with content management systems is a plus.
Atlanta Forum Network: Video Production
The Atlanta Forum Network (AFN) is dedicated to archiving video and audio recordings of local discussions, speeches and presentations by scholars, authors, artists, scientists, policy makers and community leaders on a rainbow of educational and interesting topics.
Responsibilities: AFN is looking for volunteers or students to assist in archiving events by using personal or furnished recording equipment such as video camera and microphone, by the program. AFN does provide the videotape stock. Most of the events occur during the week and would require some evening work. Transportation is not provided. We can reimburse for mileage.
The ideal candidate will have basic camera training and prior experience in recording.
Students will be part of an exciting community outreach project that extends Atlanta’s cultural and education events to a global audience, and we appreciate your support.
